MICHAEL H. DANEY, Esq. Mr. Daney, a founding partner of Godwin, Erlandson, & Daney, LLC, is an AV rated trial attorney and focuses his practices on defending employers, insurance carriers, self-insured entities and government entities with workers’ compensation claims in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Mr. Daney is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received a J.D. from the University of Kentucky School of Law. Mr. Daney is the co-author of Applying the Rules of Evidence: What Every Attorney Needs to Know (2012). Mr. Daney is an active leader and participant in a variety of community activities and currently serves as Chairman of the Harford County Personnel Advisory Board. Mr. Daney was recognized with the John McGrain Memorial Award (2012), Daily Record Leadership in Law Award (2006), and the Paul Harris Fellow Award (2003), as well as, being an AV Trial Lawyer (2004). MATT DRZIK, MS, CWPE Mr. Drzik has been practicing Industrial Rehabilitation for over 17 years. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1995 with a Master’s in Exercise Physiology. Since then, he has worked in a variety of industrial medicine clinical settings, as well as working extensively outside of the clinical setting directly with employers and injured workers at their workplace. He is a Certified Work Performance Evaluator, Certified Work Capacity Evaluator, and has worked with local and national companies to provide various injury prevention services. He works at REHAB AT WORK providing traditional clinical industrial rehabilitation, Functional Capacity Evaluations, work-site injury prevention and return to work programs, and expert testimony. REHAB AT WORK provides comprehensive outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Industrial Rehabilitation in Maryland, DC and Virginia. STEPHANIE DUBICKI, CRC, MCRP Ms. Dubicki, CRC, MCRSP Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with Allegiant Managed Care Stephanie began working with Allegiant Managed Care in 2021. Stephanie has been working as a vocational rehabilitation counselor since 2003 working for various companies in the industry including Restore Rehabilitation. Stephanie also worked for the public State of Maryland vocational rehabilitation agency, DORS, for 3 years during that time. Stephanie has a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from George Washington University. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Foreign Language (Spanish) from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. SARA El-SHALL, Esq. Ms. El-Shall founded The Law Office of Sara El-Shall so she could practice Workers’ Compensation and personal injury law her way. EVANS Commissoner Evans received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1979 and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1982. She comes to the Commission from the Office of the State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County, Maryland where she worked as a prosecutor from 2007 until 2015. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland State’s Attorneys’ Association, Women’s Bar Association and the American Bar Association, to name a few.Commissioner Evans also actively participates in many business and civic organizations and has been the recipient of numerous awards for her work as a prosecutor.
