JAMES A. LANIER, Esq. Mr. Lanier Jim Lanier is an attorney member of Warnken, LLC. His practice focuses on representing individuals who sustain on the job injures as well as other types of personal injury actions. He has advocated for his clients at all levels of the Maryland federal and state judicial systems. He received his law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1997 and his undergraduate degree from Towson State University, having also attended Loyola Marymount University. He is licensed in the Maryland State and Federal Bars. Mr. Lanier is 2021 inductee to the College of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys. He is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) and is a current member of the Legislative Committee and a past Co-Chair of the workers’ compensation section. In addition to the MAJ, he is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) and is the President-Elect of the Negligence, Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Section. Mr. Lanier also volunteers as a member of the Peer Review Committee for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland. He also belongs to the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the St. Thomas More Society of Maryland, and the Carroll County Bar Association. He has written legal articles on various topics, mostly involving Maryland workers’ compensation law. He has organized and/or spoke at workers’ compensation panel discussions for the MSBA’s Negligence, Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Section, the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Education Association (MWCEA), and the MAJ. THOMAS LEE, M.D. Dr. Lee has been active at the national level regarding the practice of PM&R, including publications, presented at national conferences and is an associate editor for theAtlas of Image-Guided Spinal Interventions. He has particular interest in spine and sports care, non-surgical and interventional procedures, and comprehensive management of musculoskeletal problems. DANIEL LENTSCHER, CFCE, COEE Mr. Lentscher was born and raised in Maryland. Daniel has always and continues to be a sports and physical activity enthusiast. His own sports-related injuries and rehabilitation experiences led him to pursue a career in the Physical Therapy field. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and began working at CAM Physical Therapy and Wellness Services in 2010. He is a certified Functional Capacity Evaluator. Daniel is our Director of Industrial Rehabilitation and specializes in Functional Capacities Evaluations, Work Hardening/Conditioning, Ergonomic Assessments, Job Analysis, Post Offer Employment Testing, and Fit for Duty exams. Daniel prides himself on continuing to expand his knowledge and discovering new ideas in treatment of the injured worker. FRANK LIPSHULTZ, Esq. (PORTH AWARD RECIPIENT) Mr. Lipshultz was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1972 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1977. He began practicing law following his graduation from the University Of Baltimore School Of Law in 1972. He received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1970. Mr. Lipshultz gained his experience starting with the law firm of Friedman & Lipshultz in 1971 and became a principal in the law firm of Lipshultz and Hone in 1972. He now practices in the law firm of Zauner & Mtimet P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Lipshultz is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and The District of Columbia Bar Association. Mr. Lipshultz has also lectured for MICPEL and MSBA in their presentations of Hot Tips in Workers Compensation. He has lectured at Maryland State Bar Association and Maryland Workers Compensation Educational Association and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association on the aspect of Medicare Secondary Payer and Medicare Set Aside Trusts. He has served as a panel member for ABA Teleconference Medicare Liens in Workers’ Compensation Cases a Minefield for the Defense and Plaintiff’s Bar September 17, 2002. In January 2010 he, along with Commissioners Karl Aumann and Maureen Quinn presented a seminar to the Maryland State Bar Association on How to Get Your Settlements Approved under the then COMAR Regulations. Mr. Lipshultz is a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional as well as a past instructor for the program. He has served an unprecedented three terms as Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Negligence Insurance and Worker’s Compensation Section last serving in 2012-2013. He is currently on the Board of the Maryland Workers Compensation Educational Association and served as its President for three years 2020-2022. TIMOTHY MCLAUGHLIN, Esq. Mr. McLaughlin is a Principal in the firm and began working with its predecessor, Herwig & Humphreys, in 1995. He concentrates in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has practiced law since 1993 and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, The Baltimore Claims Association and has served on the Vocational Rehabilitation Committee in 2008-2009. He is a graduate of Western Maryland College and The University of Baltimore School of Law.
